PVS-14BE is a highly versatile NV monocular that can be utilized for a number of applications including combat, rescue and surveillance missions. The PVS-14BE can be used as a hand-held or hands-free single eye goggle, or as a night vision weapon system when coupled with a daytime red dot or a holographic sight. The AG model is built with a Gen 2+ Auto-gated Image Intensifier with 64-72 lp/mm resolution. The device is power sufficient running up to 40 hours from a single AA battery. The PVS-14BE monocular has automatic brightness control to achieve the highest image quality for varying light conditions. The monocular is loaded with neat features including a low battery and IR-on indicators, light overload sensor that shuts the device off within seconds if accidentally exposed to bright light, and a "flip-up" OFF magnetic switch. The unit has a durable, lightweight housing that is one of most compact in the NV industry. There is a builtâ€in short-range IR illuminator for use in extreme low light conditions. To enhance viewing capabilities, the system can be paired with a 3.0x MIL SPEC Afocal lens that is easily attached to the monocular using a snap-on action. Also, the monocular can be converted into a powerful long-range NV viewer by screwing in a compatible 3.0x, 4.0x, 5.0x, 6.0x or 10.0x objective lens.
