Description:

NVD is please to announce that our Night Vision Products are now available for purchase with Gen 3 White Phosphor

Image Intensifi ers manufactured by Exelis/ITT. Traditional image intensifi er tubes use a P-43 phosphor screen output,

resulting in the yellow-green that has become the signature view through most Gen 3 night vision systems. White Phosphor

tubes use a P-45 phosphor screen, which yields an alternate coloration closer to black and white imagery. This change in

color has been reported to enhance overall object recognition while providing contrast sensitivity equivalent to or better

than traditional green phosphor image tubes. These White Phosphor tubes are available for system upgrades and can be

Hand-Select for higher performance for an extra fee. As always, NVD systems come with a TEN year warranty.

The NVD-BNVD-SG White Phosphor Binocular is a dual tube goggle with gain control. The BNVD-SG operates with a single gain control knob that controls both eyepieces simultaneously. Depending upon the amount of ambient light, the user can adjust the tube brightness (gain) lower to compensate for overly bright conditions or to increase the gain under extreme dark conditions. The BNVD-SG can be used as a monocular by choosing which side you want to use as your night vision eye and rotate the other side/arm of the binocular up and out of the way. This enhanced capability allows the user to rotate either monocular channel away from their eye while leaving the other monocular channel in place. This provides the operational flexibility to use the BNVD-SG as either a amounted sighting equipment without sacrificing night-time situational awareness. Best of all with all the added features, the BNVD-SG is still substantially lighter than the AN/PVS-7 single tube goggle!

Traditional image intensifier tubes use a P-43 phosphor screen output, resulting in the yellow-green image that has become the signature view through most Gen 3 night vision technology. The BNVD-SG White Phosphor uses a P-45 phosphor screen which yields an alternate coloration closer to black and white imagery. This change in color has been reported to enhance overall object recognition while providing contrast sensitivity equivalent to green phosphor.
