How fast can I switch between 1x and 4x magnification on the ELCAN SpecterDR DFOV4-T265-C10?

The ELCAN SpecterDR DFOV4-T265-C10 is designed for rapid transitions. With its signature lever, you can switch from 4x magnified view to a 1x Close Quarters Battle (CQB) sight almost instantly, without changing your eye relief or losing your sight picture. This makes it ideal for dynamic shooting scenarios.

What kind of reticle does the ELCAN SpecterDR DFOV4-T265-C10 use, and can I adjust the illumination?

The ELCAN SpecterDR DFOV4-T265-C10 features the CX5395 reticle, which includes a dual-thickness ballistic crosshair with a user-selectable red dot. You can choose to illuminate just the center red dot or the entire crosshair, with 5 different illumination settings for each. This adaptability helps you maintain accuracy in various lighting conditions.

Is the ELCAN SpecterDR DFOV4-T265-C10 suitable for both close-range and longer shots?

Absolutely. The ELCAN SpecterDR DFOV4-T265-C10 excels as a dual-role optic. In 1x mode, it offers the industry's largest field of view for effective close-quarters engagement. In 4x mode, it provides a clear, magnified view with excellent eye relief and field of view, making it perfectly capable for medium-range targets. It’s designed to be the ultimate single solution for both scenarios.

What are the main benefits of the TAN finish on this ELCAN SpecterDR DFOV4-T265-C10 model?

The TAN finish on the ELCAN SpecterDR DFOV4-T265-C10 is a durable CERAKOTE® performance finish. While primarily aesthetic for certain environments, CERAKOTE® offers excellent resistance to wear, corrosion, and abrasion, ensuring the scope maintains its performance and appearance through rigorous use.

How does the magnification switch work on the ELCAN SpecterDR Rifle Scope 5.56 DFOV4-T265-C10 1x-4x Tan?

This scope features ambidextrous magnification throw levers that allow you to switch seamlessly between a 4x magnified sight for medium-range and a 1x CQB sight. Unlike standard zoom optics, it is a true dual-field-of-view system that maintains identical eye relief in both modes.

What are my illumination options for the reticle?

You have flexibility depending on your scenario: you can choose to illuminate the full crosshair or just the bright red dot in the center. Both the red dot and crosshair have 5 illumination settings and are AN/PVS-22 compatible.

What kind of battery does the SpecterDR use and how long does it last?

The scope runs on a CR2032 3v Lithium battery. Battery life varies by setting, providing up to 382 hours on the maximum red dot/reticle setting, or up to 1730 hours on the second highest red dot setting.

Is this scope durable enough for professional combat use?

Yes, it is designed for professional demands with a CERAKOTE® performance finish in Tan and is rated as shockproof up to 450 g’s.

What mounting requirements are needed for the ELCAN SpecterDR?

The scope requires a Mil-Std-1913 Picatinny Rail for installation and comes with A.R.M.S. Levers for secure attachment.
