The RICO G-LRF is the latest addition to InfiRay Outdoor’s family of Rugged Infrared Compact Optics (RICO), and the first to feature an integrated laser rangefinder. This compact and affordable alternative to the full-size RICO Mk1 comes in two models: 384x288 35mm and 640x512 50mm.

Despite its smaller size, the RICO G-LRF retains many key features from the RICO Mk1, including a 4-button layout, compatibility with the AD-RQD quick-release mount, similar software and menu functions, high-speed Germanium objective optics, and an HD OLED display. Additionally, it introduces several new features, such as a high-density 26650 battery configuration and InfiRay’s newly integrated 905nm LRF micro-module, a Class 3R laser rangefinder that reduces size while maintaining the same accuracy and range as larger, more power-hungry units.

To achieve its compact design, the RICO G-LRF features a smaller chassis, a shorter eyepiece focal length, barrel-style manual focus optics, and the high-density 26650 battery, which provides 4 hours of runtime on the GH50R model and 7 hours on the GL35R model. The single 26650 battery, widely available from manufacturers like NITECORE, is chosen for its space-saving and high-value performance compared to multi-battery systems.

The RICO G-LRF combines InfiRay’s 12μm detector technology, built-in laser rangefinder, and intuitive user interface in one device. It supports image and video capture, wireless data transmission, an electronic compass, multiple reticles, and a 4-7 hour run-time, making it easier than ever for hunters to detect, range, and connect on their next hunt.
