The Scout III 320 makes use of FLIR technology, which captures thermal images from heat, not light. This provides a tactical advantage, allowing you to explore terrain in dusk, darkness, or even light fog, smoke, or dust. You can also use it to find lost livestock, discover nocturnal animals, locate missing party members, or spot your prey. In addition, it can be used to check for home insulation issues or other unexpected surprises in the dark.

Boasting better performance than its competitors at a lower cost, it can be carried on-the-go with no issue. The lightweight, easy-to-grip housing houses the top-mounted controls, with the exception of a focus wheel placed on the side. Thanks to its no-frills design, the Scout III 320 has no complicated menus or buttons, offering thermal imaging only (no camera or mount). Powering it is an internal rechargeable battery that charges via the included USB cable.

The Scout III 320 offers exceptional performance at an economical price. Its 320×240 resolution allows for the detection of animals up to 600 yards away with a clear and discernable gray scale. Further, the device features FLIR's Instalert mode, which outlines moving objects in red for quick recognition.
