LUMI brings the power of thermal observation devices to a compact and user-friendly form-factor for hunters on-the-go. The all-new LUMI series of handheld thermal monoculars features a high quality thermal sensor, available in 256×192 (P13), 384×288 (L19, L35) or 640×512 (H35) paired with a 1024×768 AMOLED display. This selection provides users with a wide range of resolution and native (base) magnification options. The advanced Reality+ image processing algorithm and a ≤18 mK NETD (thermal sensitivity) rating provide sharp, high-contrast images. Powering the LUMI is simple and affordable using common interchangeable 18650 style batteries. As a powerful tool for scouting and scanning, LUMI was designed to be as compact and ergonomic as possible while still offering impressive image detail and clarity; LUMI weighs 12 ounces and easily fits in the palm of the hand, a pocket, or the included MOLLE-compatible case.
For maximum compatibility and ease-of-use, LUMI models utilize common 18650 style rechargeable batteries (flat-top). The monocular ships with a tray-style USB-C charger and two 18650 batteries, each providing over three hours of run time in the field.

Works great, as described, very sensitive and it can even briefly see footprint trails on the ground. My only complaint is that the lowest magnification is 2x so you cannot really head mount this for navigation, just for scanning and video recording etc.
Thank you for the detailed feedback — it’s really helpful for others considering this unit. The sensitivity on these sensors is impressive, and being able to pick up brief heat trails like footprints is a great example of that. You’re absolutely right about the 2x native magnification — it makes the device excellent for scanning and recording, but not ideal for head-mounted navigation compared to true 1x optics. I appreciate you choosing Night Vision Universe and sharing your honest thoughts — enjoy the unit!
