The PVS-14 Night Vision Monocular is the current standard-issue night vision device for the US armed forces and is widely used by foreign NATO forces as well. Produced in vast quantities, the PVS-14 is a versatile and durable night vision monocular that is expected to remain a staple for years to come.

Multi-functional Use: The PVS-14 is highly adaptable and can be used head-mounted, helmet-mounted, or weapon-mounted. This allows the user to retain night vision in one eye while viewing their surroundings through the illuminated eyepiece of the monocular.

Battery Housing with Auto On/Off: The updated battery housing enables the device to power off when in an upright position and automatically power on when flipped down, enhancing ease of use.

Weapon Mounting Capability: The PVS-14 can be mounted behind most collimated daylight aimers and reflex sights such as the ACOG, Aimpoint, and EOTech systems. This allows users to switch seamlessly between night vision monocular use and weapon-mounted short-range sighting.

Gain Control: The system offers gain control, allowing users to adjust the image brightness based on lighting conditions. This feature is especially helpful in extreme darkness, where gain can be increased for better visibility, or in bright conditions, where it can be lowered to reduce light washout.

Built-in IR LED: The infrared LED includes an indicator to alert users when it is activated, and the system also has a low battery indicator for operational awareness.
Customization Options:
Night Vision Devices (NVD) can custom build the PVS-14 with Image Intensifiers from leading manufacturers like Elbit Systems of America®, Photonis®, and L3Harris®, offering options for green or white phosphor, as well as thin or un-filmed image tubes. While the PVS-14 typically features Gen 3 Night Vision technology, Gen 2 options are available to meet specific customer requirements.
