RIX Storm S6R LRF Thermal Scope 640x512/12um 35mm 50Hz 2X WiFi

Built for mobility, the STORM series is ultra-light—S3R and S6R weigh just 1lb, so you can use them handheld without wearing out your arm. Every unit includes a free QD mount for quick and easy rifle setup.

After zeroing, the RTC function will automatically reposition the reticle closer to the center of the x-axis and y-axis. If the deviation from the center position is minimal, it can even realign the reticle directly to the center, enabling you to have a more comfortable field of view and making it easier to maintain focus on the target.

The enlarged, four-directional button layout makes it easy to identify and operate each control, even when wearing gloves, making it convenient to use as a scanner as well. The device's buttons are directly mapped to the user interface (UI).When you press a button, the corresponding function on the UI lights up, providing a clear indication of which function you have triggered.

The S3R and S6R feature a built-in laser rangefinder, now more compact thanks to an advanced redesign, without added weight or reduced usability. It offers up to 1,312 yards of detection with ±1 meter accuracy, and includes a free ballistic calculator to enhance long-range precision.

With our Resolution Enhanced Technology (RET), the S3R and S6R employ advanced Al algorithms to optimize the content displayed by these additional pixels. As a result, the picture quality is significantly improved, offering a clearer and more detailed image that enhances your outdoor observations and hunting experiences.

The S6R is equipped with a next-generation thermal sensor featuring a 640×512 resolution and a NETD＜20 mK. This means reduced image noise and enhanced detail, giving you a clearer, more defined thermal picture—even in high humidity environments.

The STORM’s OLED screen offers superior contrast and rich details, enhancing the hunting experience with a more immersive and detailed view.

The S3R offers a 3.5× base magnification with detection up to 1,969 yards. The S6R starts at 2×, but even at 3× digital zoom, it delivers sharper clarity and a wider field of view—especially at closer ranges.

The STORM series is powered by a replaceable 18650 battery. The innovative 90-degree, quick-detach battery cap design facilitates effortless battery swapping, ensuring minimal downtime during your hunting adventures.

Unlike other scopes where the Picture-in-Picture (PIP) image is simply magnified along with the outer image, the STORM allows you to adjust the magnification level of the PIP image independently, enabling users to maintain awareness of the surroundings and improve shooting accuracy using the PIP function.

Night Vision Universe, 5 stars. Rix S6r review

i have only looked through and own one other thermal scope, Nocpix Ace H50., so that’s all I have to compare the Rix S6r to. The storm is obviously priced quite a bit below the Ace but to my eyes the picture quality is very close. The rangefinder, ballistics and app is pretty cool.Battery life far exceeds the Ace.Hunted last night for 3 hours and the temperature was 19 degrees. The Ace was in standby mode and only turned on every half an hour to verify battery level. The storm was used as a scanner and left running the whole time. The Ace went through 2 batteries and the Storm just moved one bar down from full on 1 battery. The only negative I have is the refresh rate seems pretty laggy compared to the Ace. I’m no techie but I’m guessing it’s because the Ace is 60hz and the Storm is only 50hz. I just had to scan a little slower and adjusted to it. Good luck finding anything out there with the same options and quality for a comparable price. Night Vision Universe is a great business to purchase your thermal optics from. Fast and friendly service, two thumbs up.

Phillip, Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed and thoughtful review. It is great to hear how the Rix Storm S6R stacked up against your Nocpix Ace H50, especially with image quality, battery life, and the added features like the rangefinder, ballistics, and app. Your real world battery comparison in cold conditions is especially helpful and highlights one of the Storm’s biggest strengths. You are also spot on about the refresh rate difference, and I appreciate you explaining how you adapted to it in the field. I truly appreciate you choosing Night Vision Universe and sharing such useful feedback for others who are comparing options at this price point.
