The RattlerV2 25-256, an upgraded version of the Rattler TS25-256, is an excellent budget-friendly choice for close-range night hunts, thermal hunting beginners, or as a secondary scope. It is equipped with a 25mm Germanium lens, a 256x192 resolution thermal sensor, and a 3.5x base magnification, providing a detection range of up to 1250 yards. While it offers a slightly narrower Field of View (7.0Ā° Ć 5.3Ā°, or 37 feet at 100 yards) compared to some other models, it balances this with better long-distance identification. The increase in refresh rate from 25 Hz to 50 Hz ensures smoother, more responsive scanning with minimal lag.
In addition to familiar AGM Rattler features, the RattlerV2 25-256 brings new improvements, including an upgraded battery compartment that supports a rechargeable battery, boosting run time to 11.5 hours. Key features include Shot Activated Recording, a simplified menu interface, and 10 reticle options with multiple zeroing profiles for different calibers and rifles. The scope also comes with a custom ADM QD mount for quick attachment and detachment, Wi-Fi hotspot capability via the AGM app, and a raised 5-button layout designed for easy navigation, even when wearing gloves.
