What makes the DFOV4-T265-C20 ELCAN SpecterDR 1x-4x Tan (7.62) unique compared to other rifle scopes?

The DFOV4-T265-C20 ELCAN SpecterDR 1x-4x Tan stands out due to its dual-role magnification system, allowing you to quickly switch between 1x (true zero magnification) for close quarters and 4x for precision at distance with the simple throw of a lever. Its large field of view, user-selectable illuminated reticle or red dot, and the robust CERAKOTE® finish provide both superior performance and durability for professional and enthusiast shooters alike.

What makes the ELCAN SpecterDR Rifle Scope DFOV4-T265-C20 so versatile for different shooting scenarios?

The ELCAN SpecterDR 1x-4x is designed for ultimate flexibility. With a simple lever flip, you can instantly switch from a 4x magnified view for longer distances to a 1x CQB (Close Quarters Battle) mode. This means you get an optimized sight picture for both precise medium-range shots and rapid target acquisition up close, without needing to change optics.

Can I use this scope in low light conditions, and how does the reticle work?

Yes, the ELCAN SpecterDR DFOV4-T265-C20 has an illuminated reticle that's perfect for low light. You can choose to illuminate either the full crosshair or just the central red dot, with multiple brightness settings. It's also AN/PVS-22 compatible, meaning it works seamlessly with night vision devices.

What is the advantage of the dual field-of-view in the DFOV4-T265-C20 scope?

The dual field-of-view is a game-changer. In 1x mode, you get industry-leading wide field of view for fast-paced close-quarters engagements. When you switch to 4x mode, it still offers a generous field of view and extended eye relief, ensuring you can effectively engage targets at medium ranges with ELCAN's renowned crystal-clear optics. It truly acts as two scopes in one.

What makes the ELCAN SpecterDR Rifle Scope 7.62 DFOV4-T265-C20 1x-4x Tan different from a standard zoom scope?

Unlike traditional zoom optics, the SpecterDR is a dual field-of-view sight. It allows you to switch seamlessly between a 4x magnified sight and a 1x CQB sight using a simple throw lever, while maintaining an optimized optical path and identical eye relief in both magnifications.

Can I use this scope for both close-quarters and medium-range engagements?

Yes, it is designed as a single solution for both. In 1x mode, it provides the industry's largest field of view for CQB, while the 4x mode offers ELCAN's crystal-clear image quality and a generous field of view for medium-range targets.

How does the illumination work on the CX5396 reticle?

The user can choose to illuminate either the full crosshair or just a brilliant red dot in the center depending on the situation. Both the red dot and crosshair illumination feature 5 settings and are AN/PVS-22 compatible.

What are the battery life expectations for the SpecterDR?

Using a CR2032 3v Lithium battery, you can expect 382 hours of life on the maximum red dot and reticle setting, 1730 hours on the second highest red dot setting, or 1208 hours on the second highest reticle setting.

Is the ELCAN SpecterDR built to handle harsh professional environments?

Yes, it is built for professional use with a durable CERAKOTE® performance finish in Flat Dark Earth (FDE) and is shockproof up to 450 g's.
