The RICO MICRO RL25 V2 continues to be one of the most powerful and versatile thermal optics on the market, with this new version bringing user-requested upgrades and system enhancements that further improve image quality and ease of use. The RL25 V2 retains the compact form factor and advanced features customers love, while adding even more versatility—now functioning as a handheld scanner, helmet-mounted monocular, weapon sight, and even a thermal clip-on.
Equipped with a 384x288 12 µm thermal sensor with an improved NETD rating of ≤18mK, the RL25 V2 delivers clear and precise imaging through its 25 mm f/1.0 lens, offering 2x native magnification. The updated model features a machined magnesium alloy housing, reducing weight for better portability. A newly added USB-C port simplifies file transfer and allows the MICRO to be powered by an external battery pack.
Additionally, the internal video recorder now supports crisp audio and offers 64GB of internal storage. The 1440×1080 AMOLED display has been enhanced, offering an 80% larger viewing area and 97% more total pixels than the previous generation. Paired with a redesigned eyepiece, the RL25 V2 offers more comfortable viewing and clip-on compatibility with optics up to 6x magnification.
